ICELAND 2018-10-07

The fall tour begins early on Sunday, October 7,  and continues with a busy schedule until the evening of Saturday the 13th.

A set of bonus shoots on Saturday the 6th are available for participants who arrive early, as well as on Sunday, the 14th for any participants staying late.

The fall tour features northern lights,  waterfalls, glacier and volcanos, along with its wonderful people and culture. To get a feeling for the tour, check out our sample portfolios.

ICELAND 2019-05-19

The spring Iceland tour begins early on Sunday, May 19,  and continues with a busy schedule until the evening of Saturday the 26th.

A set of bonus shoots on Saturday the 18th are available for participants who arrive early, as well as on Sunday, the 26th for any participants staying late.

The spring tour features seabirds, along with Iceland's renowned waterfalls, glacier and volcanoes, along with its wonderful people and culture.

The all inclusive tour begins early on Sunday, October 7, 2018  and continues with a busy schedule until the evening of Saturday, the 13th. A set of bonus shoots on Saturday the 6th are available for participants who arrive early, as well as on Sunday, the 14th for any participants staying late. There is also an extra three day tour available at the end covering new areas.

Nature and Landscapes

 This is a unique country with its glaciers, geysers, volcanos, lava fields, waterfalls, mountains, beaches and fjords, not to mention the sea birds, whales and the aurora borealis.

The tour is timed to take advantage of Iceland's long golden hour opportunities with these natural wonders. 

People and Culture

The tour will include many shooting opportunities with local people and culture. Iceland's unique farms, including the sheep and Icelandic horses will be featured, as well as fishing, cuisine and the arts scene.

Urban and Architecture

Reykjavík, the capital city of Iceland, has some unique architecture that will be available for shoots. In addition, the rural churches, homes and abandoned buildings will provide an urban portion for the tour.


What is included?

  • All accommodations and meals during your tour. Most dinners will include a glass of wine.
  • All transportation inside of Iceland.

What is not included?

  • Flights to Iceland. We can assist with flights if required.
  • Hotels before or after the tour starts, and we can assist with those as well.
  • Transfers to and from the airport are not included, though we can assist with those.

Costs and Booking

The trip is priced at 500,000 ISK ($6,100 CDN, $4,835 USD as of 2018-01-15). We offer a 5% early booking discount for a deposit of $1,000 by April 30, and full booking by June 30. Booking is on a first come, first serve basis.

We have set up an itinerary which provides a wide range of opportunities, and will be adjusted as we go based on weather and other opportunities.

Special Considerations

  • Weather: In the case of inclement weather, some additional indoor shoots may be scheduled. Do bring rain gear for you and your equipment though.
  • Sunrise/sunset options: When weather permits, early/late shoots may be scheduled.
  • Road side attractions: Iceland is a very scenic country, and we will stop at road side areas of interest based on timing.
  • Special requests: If there is an area of special interest that is not on our list, let us know and we will do our best to fit it in.

Arrival day

  • On the flight over, try and get a window seat on the left side of the plane, northern lights are not uncommon.
  • Pick up at Keflavik airport
  • Visit Reykjavik city centre, free walk, then  to hotel for an afternoon rest

Sometimes you need more than a week.

The October tour focuses on the west, north and east coasts of the country, so for anyone who has a few extra days, the tour can be extended to include the south coast of Iceland. The extra tour is $850/day, and can be customized. The extension of the tour does require three participants.

  • 7 nights accommodations (Sunday to Saturday) with single occupancy, 3 in private lodges.
  • 7 breakfasts, lunches and dinners (most with wine or beer), along with snacks and drinks while on the road.
  • 4 of the dinners prepared by Axel, our in country guide and a Cordon Bleu chef.
  • All in country travel once the tour begins.

What is not included?

  • Flights to Iceland. We can assist with flights if required.
  • Meals and accommodation before or after the tour dates, though we can help arrange them.
  • Travel, medical or equipment insurance. Tips and gratuities for the guide.
  • Transfers to and from the airport. We can assist with transfers as well.

Golden Circle

  • Golden circle with the national park of Þingvellir, the 2 tectonic plates, viking saga fields, the geyser area, Waterfall Gullfoss, waterfall Faxi & more secret stops during the day,  
  • Picnic in the wild, for lunch, and dinner in a restaurant in Reykjavik.
  • Overnight in Reykjavik

Day 2 - Monday
Borgarfjordur

  • Day trip to the Borgarfjordur region, including stops like a lave tube caving with multiple colours, lava waterfall, drive to a glacier with it´s glorious mountain view.
  • Picnic in the wild - dinner in restaurant in town.
  • Overnight in Reykjavik

Day 3 - Tuesday
Egilstadir

  • Fly to Egilstadir village early morning.
  • Visit the Eastern landscape, visit local farmers, mountain views, very cool sights
  • BBQ in the wild nature, dinner preopared by Axel at lodge.
  • Overnight in Jokla lodge.

Day 4 - Wednesday
Mjoifjordur

  • From Jokla, we spend the day in in the eastern territory, views are based on weather still offering amazing sights and privacy, Mjoifjordur is our highlight with its waterfalls in steps and more.
  • in the afternoon, dinner by Axel.
  • Overnight at Breiddlasa lodge.

Day 5 - Thursday
Breiddalsa

  • From Breiddalsa lodge, explore the local valley surroundings.
  • Dinner by Axelo
  • Overnight in the Breiddlasa lodge,

Day 6 - Friday
Glacier Lagoon

  • From Breiddalsa river, we drive the east fjord territory towards our highlight of the day, the Glacier Lagoon, the diamond beach, the glacier views, it´s one of the most popular sites in Iceland for photographers.
  • Picnic in the wild,
  • Overnight in a countryside Hotel by Kirkjubaejarklaustur village

Day 7 - Saturday
South Coast

  • From Kirkjubaejarklaustur, drive the South coast today, sights like Skogarfoss waterfall, black sandy beaches, Dyrholaey, Seljalandsfoss waterfall, & many more secret sights arriving in the afternoon to Reykjavik.
  • Picnic in the wild, BBQ dinner in the evening at Axel's home.
  • Overnight in Reykjavik

Departure Day - Sunday

  • From Reykjavik, Model shoot on the way to the airport, models to walk with us in the nature or great sights, arriving to the airport in time for departure, lunch in the wild on the road

Optional Days

Sometimes you need more than a week.

The tour includes the north, east and south coasts of the country, so for anyone who has a few extra days, the tour can be extended to include the west coast of Iceland. The extra tour is 70,000 ISK/day (about $900 CDN, $680 USD), and can be customized. The tour does require three participants to extend the tour.

Day 8 - Sunday
Reykjanes Peninsula

  • From Reykjavik, Model shoot on the way to the airport, models to walk with us in the nature or great sights, arriving to the airport in time for departure, lunch in the wild on the road.

  • After dropping off departing participants, additional sites on the Reykjanes peninsula including bird cliffs in Krisuvik, bubbling mud pools, Grindavik fishing village, volcanic sights and more.

  • Dinner in Reykjavik.

  • Overnight in Reykjavik.

Day 9 - Monday
Snaefellsnes peninsula

  • Snaefellsnes peninsula, it´s a different landscape from everything we have seen so far, Lava fields, small villages, the legendary mountain Kirkjufell and more, lunch on the road
  • Dinner in Reykjavik.

  • Overnight in Reykjavik.

Day 10 - Tuesday
Cave explorations

  • Torsmork valley, here you get to see the closest view to the mighty volcano Eyjafjallajokull that erupted in 2010, Also we see the waterfall Urridafoss, Iceland´s 3rd largest waterfall, this is an off road drive so we use Superjeeps offering great photo views off the beaten track

    BBQ in the wild, arriving Reykjavik in the after noon.
